Echoing emotions

For the first time, the GMT-Master II in Oystersteel is presented with the Cerachrom bezel insert in grey and black ceramic introduced to the range in 2023. Two new versions are offered: one with our Oyster bracelet, the other with our Jubilee bracelet. Their green 24-hour hand displays much more than just an alternative time zone; it points to another location that resonates with the wearer – a reminder of the emotions that accompany each traveller.

Subtle harmony

Grey and black Cerachrom bezel insert

The bidirectional rotatable bezel of the new GMT-Master II watches is equipped with a two-colour, 24-hour graduated Cerachrom insert in grey and black ceramic. This muted colour contrast subtly evokes the alternation of day and night. The moulded, recessed graduations and numerals are coated with platinum via PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition), making them clearly visible.

The new versions of the GMT-Master II are crafted in Oystersteel. Produced exclusively for Rolex, this alloy is highly resistant to corrosion and shocks. It offers outstanding sheen and retains its lustre even when the watch is exposed to the most extreme conditions. This metal celebrates the identity of the model, which at its launch, was only available in steel.

Green 24-hour hand

Highlighting our connection to the world

The triangle-tipped 24-hour hand features strongly in the model’s design. On the new watches, it is green, echoing the colour of the ‘GMT-Master II’ inscription on the black lacquer dial. Pointing towards the 24-hour graduation on the rotatable bezel, this hand indicates a second time zone and highlights the wearer’s connection to the world.

Oyster or Jubilee bracelet

Comfort, robustness and elegance

Historically always offered on an Oyster bracelet, the GMT‑Master II is the only Rolex Professional watch to also feature a Jubilee bracelet. The Oyster and Jubilee bracelets of the GMT‑Master II are equipped with the Oysterlock folding safety clasp, which prevents accidental opening. They also feature the Easylink comfort extension link, developed by Rolex, which allows the wearer to easily adjust the bracelet length by approximately 5 mm.

Oyster bracelet

Developed in the late 1930s, the metal Oyster bracelet, with broad and slightly curved three-piece links, is particularly robust and remains the most universal bracelet in the Oyster Perpetual collection.

Jubilee bracelet

Supple and comfortable, the metal Jubilee bracelet comprises rows of five links – three narrower links in the centre and two broader links at the edges. Specially created for the Datejust, which was launched in 1945, it has since come to equip other models, including the GMT-Master II.

Calibre 3285

One movement, two time zones

The GMT-Master II is driven by calibre 3285, released in 2018. Entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex, this self-winding mechanical movement enables the local time to be set easily via the winding crown, without stopping the watch and therefore without affecting the 24-hour hand. The date is linked to the local time and changes instantaneously at midnight. Calibre 3285 benefits from a power reserve of approximately 70 hours.
